My name is Bruce Law and I’m the Founder & President of Sprout Marketing.
When did you start your business?
We started in 2002.
Where are you located?
We’re based out of Gilbert, Arizona!
Tell us, how has mentumm accelerator helped you as an entrepreneur?
mentumm accelerator has expanded my thinking on how to grow my own business through direct advice from principal founders and peer connections with business owners in my advisory group. For that reason, I try to never miss our monthly meetings.
What motivates you to do what you do?
I have always loved marketing. I still have copies my mother saved of marketing campaigns I did in grade school (honest truth). I cherish the science and art of marketing. The science is seen in time-honored principles, methodologies, and measurements. The art is seen in logos, campaigns, taglines, websites, packaging, and a never-ending array of marketing artifacts. Each product, each brand promise, each website, each photoshoot is unique. So much of what I do has never been done before but is built on principles I’ve learned repeatedly and deeply over 35 years. It keeps every day new and different.
What would you tell your younger, entrepreneurial self?
Get and keep the long view and remember to invest for the long game. Don’t give up what you want most for what you want at the moment.
If you had an extra hour each day of uninterrupted work time, how would you spend it?
I would spend the first month of extra hours marketing products/companies my wife and children have dreamed up–like my wife’s exterior design company, my teenage daughter’s blanket company, or my son’s plant/event/restaurant company.
What would you attribute most to your business’s success?
Doing what I love and doing it consistently for a long time. The first part makes the second part possible.
