I’m George Kief and I’m the Managing Partner at Western Component Sales LLC.
When did you start your business?
We first began in 1997.
Where are you located?
Scottsdale, Arizona.
Tell us, how has mentumm accelerator helped you as an entrepreneur?
The mentumm accelerator tribe has connected me with like-minded business owners who have similar motivation and passion for their companies. The ability to bounce ideas off of smart people that have shared similar struggles and successes in their businesses is priceless to me.
What motivates you to do what you do?
From a very young age, my parents encouraged me to work jobs that may have seemed simple at the time, but they actually required a great amount of responsibility. From a paper route at age 11 to managing a little league snack bar at 16, these jobs required me to manage my time wisely if I was going to be able to also participate in sports and have time for my friends. I have always gotten great satisfaction out of my job, no matter what it was at the time, and I’ve always looked at it as a means to enjoy the good things in life such as traveling with my family.
What would you tell your younger, entrepreneurial self?
If I could give my younger self some good advice, it would be to be relentless in the pursuit of success in your career when you are in your 20’s and 30’s. As you grow into your 40’s and beyond, you must work harder at maintaining the same level of energy as you were when young. Nobody thinks about the consequences of age and how it affects your drive and motivation later in life; it is assumed that your energy levels and patience will not change.
If you had an extra hour each day of uninterrupted work time, how would you spend it?
If I had an additional hour each day, I would spend it reading articles and books by successful business people. I especially like to learn about how they grew up and what made an impression on them at a young age and pushed them to achieve their goals.
What would you attribute most to your business’s success?
My success in business is 100% a result of my motivation to please my customers. I am relentless in providing our customers a great experience and it all originates from me being available at all times and responding to their needs quickly and effectively.
