My name is Matt Adams and I’m the President and Head of Intergalactic Operations at factor1.

We’re in Tempe, Arizona.
Tell us, how has mentumm accelerator helped you as an entrepreneur?
My business gets better every time I take the time to actually work ON it versus in it. mentumm accelerator and my tribe push me constantly to zoom out and work on the things that make an impact on the big picture. Having peers that get my struggles and provide me with insights from their experiences is a game-changer.
What motivates you to do what you do?
Helping people succeed is at the core of my being. I care so much about helping people that it almost doesn’t matter what my role is–as long as I have the skills to make an impact on their businesses.
What was your first job?
I started mowing lawns and clearing snow at 10 and ended up having a few employees from other neighbor kids. I would manage all the routes, the sales, and take care of a few myself. Everyone got paid and I had a small cut ($1) for each house.
If you had an extra hour each day of uninterrupted work time, how would you spend it?
Continuing to work on the process and refining what we do and how we do it. If I can continue to help my team run smoother, I can free up more time to grow the business.
What would you attribute most to your business’s success?
Honestly, peer support and mentorship. I joined my first group similar to mentumm accelerator about 7 years ago and having my tribe today has been what I’ve needed for a long time. Their help, guidance, book recommendations, and support have been a huge part of my overall growth.
